The Return

So I took some time off. Roughly 23 months to be exact. I know there are literally ones of you out there so excited to see a new post on the old AvengerBlog. How long will this last? Let's not spoil it with specifics.

Viva Las Vegas

First time in Vegas. I'll be posting some more pics when I resize them a little better. Right now they take a while to upload. This is the volcano from the Mirage. Caesar's Palace is in the background. The word of the day is "materialize".

Inner Geek

Check out http://konfabulator.com.

It's a collection of small desktop apps that range from wi-fi indicators to traffic cam feeds to news and sports tickers. A little something for everybody. My current desktop includes the Compact hardrive space, wi-fi signal, memory usage, CPU activity, and battery meter. I love the customization. I also have the TachClock cause I think it looks cool. There's tons to choose from. Have fun! The word of the day is "modular".

The Sunday Post

Everytime I think I have seen the ultimate example of wretched excess, some bozo lowers the bar. And I thought the Hummer was the pinnacle of waste. Now you too can show what a lack of sense you have with a pair of LCD screens in your headlights. Prices start at $899. What a deal. Now that possum can see .035 seconds of The Fast and the Idiots before you plow him into oblivion at 80mph. The word of the day is "infantile".

New Hotness

If this only came with the BMW's MP5 submachine gun holder. The word of the day is "futile".

Hope for the Triple Diamond

It's a well known fact that Mitsubishi has been trailing the other Japanese car makers in style and profits. Hopefully the styling cues in this Concept-X prototype will transfer into some of their production vehicles. This thing is pretty sweet.

Georgia Fundraising

A friend of mine from Atlanta has a novel approach to raising money. I told him I would spread the word about the venture in case he actually pulls this off. I get a Nano (see a previous The Sunday Post). My motives are mostly selfish, but in all honesty, his are too. Check out http://blowupmycar.com/. The word of the day is "duplicity".

The Sunday Post

Today was a good day. Football season is simply one of my favorite times of the year. The weather starts to cool off, signalling the coming of those crisp fall afternoons. My team didn't win today, but its still early in the season. A short nap, and I'm ready to watch the end of the 4 o'clock game. Sunday afternoons in the fall are from heaven. The word of the day is "regiment".
